ASCENT combines the best in education with a proven peer-group structure. Learning from each other will be a key component to the success of Ascent Physician Leadership trekkers as they journey forward together. Physician leaders, in peer groups of 6 – 10 physicians, will meet at Base Camp for three live meetings and nine accompanying Trail Check peer coaching calls over a 12 month period. Trained physician facilitators will guide each group through their ongoing journey of personal and professional leadership development. Physician trekkers are challenged to share, problem solve, and collaborate with each other. Together, each peer group will create a community of physician leaders who will share trusted relationships, common commitment, mutual accountability, and impactful resources that are uniquely powerful in the journey ahead.

“Peer groups provide a trusted group to give feedback. It is important to get that feedback so that you can improve.” Rogelio Pante, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer, ThedaCare Medical Center.
